ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Christi. I live in Bedford, Texas and got certified to teach ISR lessons to continue my desire to invest in children and their families as I near the end of my professional career in education. I am married to the nicest man I know, John. We have two adult daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandkids.

My desire to help kids and families started back in 2000 as I began my career as a middle school teacher and coach. Throughout my 24 years in education, I've taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade science, Leadership, Physical Education and Athletics. I've also coached volleyball, basketball, track, cross country, soccer, and tennis. Additionally, about 10 years into my career, I earned my Master's in School Counseling and have served as a counselor at every level from pre-K to 12th grade. I am currently finishing up my educational career as an elementary counselor before I turn to ISR full time!

I knew ISR was for me when my grandson went through lessons. As a person who loves the water and often vacations at the beach with family, it was important to me that my grandkids had the skills necessary to self rescue in the event of an emergency. In watching lessons, I was amazed at how much students could learn in such a short time and how skilled, even the littlest ones, could become! I knew then I wanted to pair my love for science, the water and kids into my next career! I am so proud to be part of the elite group of ISR Instructors and share the vision of "Not One More Child Drowns".
